    My WordPress Tech Stack 2026

    Filippo Tinnirello

Professional development isn't just about writing code; it's about the tools that ensure quality, speed, and maintainability. Here is the stack I use to deliver enterprise-grade WordPress sites.

    Frontend Approach

    Vanilla CSS First

I prefer vanilla CSS for maximum control and zero framework overhead. Clean, maintainable stylesheets that don't require build tools or add bloat to your site.

When projects require it or already have them in place, I'm equally comfortable working with Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS. The goal is always clean, performant code — not framework dogma.

    Development Environment

    • LocalWP: Ensuring isolated, clean environments for every project.
    • Visual Studio Code: With a curated list of extensions for PHP, React, and Tailwind intellisense.
    • Git & GitHub: Version control is mandatory. Every line of code is tracked, allowing for safe collaboration and rollbacks.

    WordPress Core Stack

For the CMS itself, I lean towards tools that offer flexibility without performance penalties.

    • Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Pro: The backbone of custom, structured content.
    • Elementor or Gutenberg: For page building, depending on client needs and project requirements. I'm equally proficient with both.

    Why This Matters for Agencies

Using a pragmatic, flexible stack means your projects are future-proof. I adapt to your existing tools rather than forcing you into a specific framework. The code is clean, optimized for performance, and other developers can easily understand and maintain it.

No unnecessary build processes, no framework lock-in — just solid, efficient WordPress development that works.

    Want Your Projects Built Right?

Don't settle for spaghetti code. Partner with a developer who treats your client's website as a professional software product.
